Everything Muletto does on your own machine is free. There is no tier, no licence key and no account. The only thing charged for is AI, because that is the only thing with a cost each time you use it.

What AI costs
Describing a photo, searching by what is in a picture rather than its filename, or summarising years of conversation - these run a model, and running a model costs money every single time. That cost is real, so it is passed on rather than hidden in a subscription.
Credits, at a published rate
One credit describes one photo, at one published price. You buy the number of photos you actually have rather than picking a tier, the panel shows the total before you spend anything, and whatever you do not use stays as credit. Nothing recurring, nothing to cancel, nothing expires.
Or bring your own model
Point Muletto at a model running on your own machine and the same features cost nothing at all. It needs a reasonably recent computer with memory to spare, and it will be slower than the hosted option.
Coming later: a desktop app
Windows and macOS, and it will be paid. Not a wall around the web version - the web version stays exactly as it is. It is for libraries the browser struggles with: no storage limits, no file size ceiling, direct access to your disks and network drives, work that carries on in the background, and no internet at all if you would rather.
